Personal training can mean different things: Strength Training, Functional Training, Muscle Tonification, Physical Reconditioning and/or general improvements in health and well being.  As a trainer, I believe that applying an intuitive approach when assessing the bodies functionality each time you train allows you to tailor each session to the bodies needs in that moment and build strength from there.

I work well focusing on these areas:

  • Physical Strength and Functional Training

  • Muscle Reconditioning and Identification of Muscular Imbalances

  • Self Release Techniques and Stretching to improve flexibility, range of motion, pain and athletic performance

  • Exercising the muscles using proper form which allows you to utilize the muscles being worked in a way you may never have before achieving a greater level of strength and avoid injury

  • Relieving Chronic Aches and Pains

  • Alleviating symptoms of Chronic Illness

Postural Consulting

We all know by now the effects that sitting for long periods of time has on the body. But we don’t always know how to improve that. I believe that you can improve your posture by learning how the body and joints should be positioned. Then we can identify what muscles are tight and what muscles are weakened so we can build that up to stand upright and eliminate pain. We get to keep working but approach how we hold our bodies and how we support our work lives in a different way.

Breath Coaching

Yoga breathing is a safe and natural way to quickly affect your autonomic nervous system. Most of us are stuck in autopilot and we’re getting bounced around by our environment leaving us feeling wired but tired, imbalanced, and frazzled. Yoga breathing offers many of the same benefits of meditation, but it’s easier to learn, can be practiced anywhere and the results are very predictable.

Massage

Among the many benefits of massage are relieving tight, painful muscles, inducing relaxation, reducing stress, and improving circulation. Tailor this massage to address a specific area of concern or experience a full body massage for all over relief.  Integration of other modalities of massage services offered to suit your needs.

 

Cranio Sacral Therapy

$120, 55 minutes

This is a gentle, hands on therapy that releases restrictions in the Craniosacral system which causes the central nervous system to function better resulting in increased wellness, better immunity, and less stress and tension.  It addresses sensory and motor dysfunction which result in chronic neck and back pain., chronic fatigue, motor coordination impairments, migraine headaches, scoliosis, and stress and tension related problems. For nearly 30 years, practitioners have used CST to help people get back to a healthy, balanced body.

 

Massage Cupping

$130, 55 minutes

By creating suction and vacuum pressure, ACE Massage Cupping™  is used to soften tight muscles and attachments, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue, bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues, move deep inflammation to the skin surface for release, and drain excess fluids and toxins by opening lymphatic pathways.
ACE Massage Cupping™ therapy is incredibly versatile and the basic movements can easily be customized to accomplish a wide variety of techniques, from lymphatic drainage to deep tissue release. This complements all other massage modalities offered.

 

Facial Massage

Tension Relief
Do you find yourself clenching your teeth and holding your breath. Do you grind your teeth or have TMJ syndrome? Is your brow furled? Sometimes we don’t even know how irritated and sore the muscles are in our face and what we can do about it. Going in and massaging all the small muscles all over the face and neck can have not only a substantial relief in facial tension, but it can relax the entire body and wipe away the stress we carry.

Facial Contouring w/ Gua Sha and Massage cupping
Ever heard of Gua Sha? Gua sha is a tool used in Chinese medicine that means scraping. When done lightly on the face it has been known to improve circulation, drain lymphatic system, reduce puffiness and help smooth out the fascia in the face to decrease the signs of aging. Added to that is massage cupping which deepens the detoxification process by lightly cupping and moving in upward strokes. This treatment is very relaxing, creates glowing skin and tonifies the fascia for a lifting effect.
